Comment on the following : "I have a principled aesthetic position not to be in print as a poet. Academics may look down on this – after all the printing press was invented during the Renaissance and I must in their eyes be some kind of neo-pastoral Luddite who thinks the grassroots is about grass, feudal green fields and purely oral poetry of the Medieval troubadour kind. Well, may I say that the Spoken Word Revolution is cummin your way, pals, and it’s way way way more lively, discursive, sophisticated, intellectual, dynamic, innovative, cutting edge, structurally satisfying, communicative etc etc than any arts council funded precious ‘literary’ ‘poetry’. Smear that all over your glistening pages : the relevant document for posterity is no longer the snootily recommended and critically acclaimed ‘published’ book but is now the Youtube clip. Yours most irreverently, Santo Cazzati. PS. No disrespect to many wonderful poets whose books I thoroughly enjoyed!"

Heya Koraly! I look forward to hearing the webstream. Debbie Lee's question for Paul (reword as you see fit!): If working with children and animals is to be avoided, surely herding poets to a cohesive structure is an even harder proposition? What tips do you recommend to groups which would otherwise love to work with poets, when "creative types" are notoriously divisive, rambunctious and generally accused of self-interest where promotion is concerned?

Hey Koraly! Looking forward to your interview. Just wonderin', what do you mean by 'academic poetry'? Is that just poetry written by academics, or poetry of an academic nature? If the latter, how would you describe it? Genres can be so fuzzy. Cheers!
